Life blossoms where water flows

I was going through my Rumi collection, and the following really echoed with the video from the previous post:
Sometimes in order to help He makes us cry
Happy the eye that sheds tears for His sake
Fortunate the heart that burns for His sake
Laughter always follow tears
Blessed are those who understand
Life blossoms wherever water flows
Where tears are shed divine mercy is shown

it reminds me of the Sahabah (r.a.) who used to weep so much in the fear and love of Allah that they would shed tears of blood and/or lose their eyesight…and just look at the outcome in their personalities, their high status etc.
