I know it became really confusing for people to find this blog (not that it’s vital to anybody’s existence) when I decided to take a hike to a different location. Honestly, I get this inexplicable urge to move when I am feeling restless, and the easiest move is a blog-move. It’s not like I can pack a suitcase and head off to Istanbul or someplace nice and distracting at the drop of a hat, after all. So, I do the next best thing…I move blogs. Thanks, all, for being patient with my madness.

Also, it didn’t help that I had nothing to say. Figured a blog move would stir the juices, but it turned out that didn’t help. I’m probably going to be talking about things that have no relevance to anybody, as I happen to be more politically inclined lately…but at least I’ll be talking (or rambling). I’ve found that writing posts privately these past couple of months was more freeing than anything else…so, I’ll just pretend that I’m private and completely ignore the fact that even just a few people are reading.

And a special shout out to the fellow bloggers who wrote to me, asking what on earth happened: jazakiAllah khair noora, Umm Ibrahim (Stranger in this Dunya), and Simply Muslim. You girls really touched my heart…may Allah bless you for your kindness and concern, ameen. I love you all like sisters. Alhamdulillah.

Ok…all the posts from the old blog are here now. I don’t why, but I feel so nice with this URL. It’s a little less personal (I don’t really enjoy being known as the niqabi one), and a lot more, well, enigmatic. And it reflects how I feel about myself these past few months: nothing short of imperfect. This is much more me, and it’s a bit devoid of color and images right now, but I’ll fix that soon, inshaAllah.

Welcome to my new blog-home!

Ok, here’s the new blog, but I still don’t know if I should take my old stuff with me…there is something nice about having a clean slate, but the new bloggie also looks a bit lonely.Also, feels like I’ve chopped off a limb. Or a part of my tongue. Something feels odd. Ah, nevermind, I’m importing everything now, so that place is going to look odd for a little while, what with random posts showing up on top. And yes, I do need to clean the new place up a bit. Look for a housewarming party there on Friday Welcome one, welcome all!

Yes, I am moving. For some reason, I want a change of environment. All I’m doing is going from one WordPress blog to another. I just need to settle on a URL name, as I’m bored with being digital. I’ll be back in a couple hours with the yet-to-be-determined name. And I’m trying to decide whether to take my content with me, or should I leave it here? In either case, this place will be closed to the public by the end of the day. Any and all advice will be appreciated!
