How much do we value ourselves?

You are more precious than both heaven and earth,

You know not your own worth.

Sell not yourself at little price,

Being so precious in God’s eyes.

[Rumi]

Believers are like pearls. Wherever they may be, they are beautiful there.

[Maliq ibn Dinar]

I can’t add any commentary to these gems of wisdom.

Sahih bukharee Book : 70. Patients. : 547 : Narrated By Abu Huraira

Allah’s Apostle said, “The example of a believer is that of a fresh tender plant; from whatever direction the wind comes, it bends it, but when the wind becomes quiet, it becomes straight again. Similarly, a believer is afflicted with calamities (but he remains patient till Allah removes his difficulties.) And an impious wicked person is like a pine tree which keeps hard and straight till Allah cuts (breaks) it down when He wishes.” (See Hadith No. 558, Vol. 9.)

a good stroing faith muslim is like when a sad situation comes to him he do shuker and saber he thanks allah what is given to him rather then beeing sad what is not given to him and he waits for better days to come and when the storm passes …allah sends his blessings and happiness to him and the delicate flexible plant rises again without damaged by storm but the example of wiked disbeliver is that he is arrogant and stiff he does not ask from god and sudenly death reaches him and the plant is uprroted from storm ..i may b wrong fr its interpretation plz coreeect me if im wrong 😀

Ibn `Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When Abraham (peace be upon him) was thrown into fire, he uttered: For us Allah suffices, He is the best Disposer of affairs. So did the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) when he was informed that an army had gathered against him, so fear it; this (warning) only increased the faith of the Muslims and they said: Allah is our best guardian and He is sufficient for us.

    (Reported by Al-Bukhari)

A Muslim should rely on Allah especially when inflicted by distress or trouble.
One should follow the example of the prophets (peace be upon them) in their reliance and dependence on Allah.

hadith …Allah’s Apostle said, “If anyone of you looked at a person who was made superior to him in property and (in good) appearance, then he should also look at the one who is inferior to him, and to whom he has been made superior.”

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saying: The most perfect believers in faith are those who have the best manners, and the best of you are those who are best to their wives.

    (Reported by Al-Tirmidhi)

The Hadith refers to the status of good manners in Islam.
This Hadith exhorts the Muslim husband to treat his wife kindly, never hurt her, be benevolent to her and bear whatever lapses she may have.

Trust On Allah…then we dont need any one elses trust …

The Prophet said, “Whoever has the following four (characteristics) will be a pure hypocrite and whoever has one of the following four characteristics will have one characteristic of hypocrisy unless and until he gives it up.
    1. Whenever he is entrusted, he betrays.
    2. Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie.
    3. Whenever he makes a covenant, he proves treacherous.
    4. Whenever he quarrels, he behaves in a very imprudent, evil and insulting manner.”

Quran:3:159: And by the Mercy of Allâh, you dealt with them gently. And had you been severe and harshhearted, they would have broken away from about you; so pass over (their faults), and ask (Allâh’s) Forgiveness for them; and consult them in the affairs. Then when you have taken a decision, put your trust in Allâh, certainly, Allâh loves those who put their trust (in Him).
Quran:3:160: If Allâh helps you, none can overcome you; and if He forsakes you, who is there after Him that can help you? And in Allâh (Alone) let believers put their trust.

  4. HBK says:

masha allah, beautiful. m an old fan of Maulana rumi’s works. lol.

  5. HBK, Yes, I can certainly understand why (obviously). The Sufi giants like Rumi break things down so beautifully, and the aim is always to enable us to become stronger as human beings by becoming closer to Allah, inshallah. Each story, poem, or short quote from them is really inspiring…almost as good as stories from the Hadeeth.
