I know, I knowww, we don’t celebrate the new year, so why am I wishing you’ll a happy new year? Er, because…yeah, just because.
Seriously, its scary how fast time seems to go these days. It seems like only yesterday that 1427 began, and now its 1428. If we spent our time more wisely, pleasing Allah more, most probably we wouldn’t complain of time passing before our eyes so fast. So many who were with us at the beginning of the year, have passed on. Do we fail to realize that it could have been us who passed on?
Sayyidina ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (RadiAllahu Anhu) has narrated:
“When you are in the evening, do not expect to live till the morning and when you are in the morning, do not expect to live till the evening. Make a provision for the time when you will be sick while you are still healthy and make a provision for the time of your death while you are still living”
~ Sahih Bukhaari
May we make the coming year a positive one, a year where we increase our imaan and look back with good memories. 🙂
